Bistek Steak & Potatoes

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 of a 3.0 oz Delmayab Bistek Brick

  • 1 cup of water

  • 1/3 cup of lemon juice

  • 1 tsp of salt (optional)

  • 2 lbs of boneless beef round steak, (sliced)

  • 1 white onion (diced)

  • 2 yellow chilies (sliced)

  • 1 small bell pepper (any color)

  • 1 tomato diced 

  • 3 medium potatoes, quartered

  • 2 tbsp cooking oil (corn, vegetable, or your preference)

 

Feeds 4 people

Directions:

Place the Delmayab bistek in a mixing bowl and add the water, lemon juice, and salt. Mix with a fork or whisk until the bistek is broken up. Add the steak, bistek marinade, onion, chilies, bell pepper, tomato, potatoes and cooking oil to a large pot. Cover and cook on low heat for 45 minutes, stirring occasionally. 

Optional: serve with rice, beans and tortillas.
